$75 Billion goes to Green projects

U Mass economist Robert Pollin suggests that three times as many jobs are created when funding is spent on green energy as opposed to traditional fossil fuel technology. The Solar Energy Industries Association says 119,000 jobs will be created in the solar industry alone as a result of President Obama's planned $75m stimulus package aimed at green technology. Do these numbers seem right to you? I am concerned that we are creating an industry for which there will be little ongoing demand (due to continued economic struggles in the US and abroad) once these funds are spent. Would organic growth be more sustainable?
